DECISION
No. 751, dated 1.12.2022
FOR A SPECIAL PROTECTION FROM THE STATE FOR UNEMPLOYED WOMEN WITH THREE OR MORE CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 18
In support of Article 100 of the Constitution and Point 2, Article 58, of Law no. 7703, dated 11.5.1993, “On social security in the Republic of Albania”, amended, with the proposal of the Minister of Finance and Economy, Council of Ministers
DECIDE:
- Unemployed women with three or more children aged up to 18, where one of the children is under the age of 5 and the family has an income of less than 100,000 (one hundred thousand) ALL per month, the period of care for the child up to the age of 5 is known as the insurance period for the effect of old age pension and maternity benefits.
- Social insurance contributions for the pension insurance branch and the maternity insurance branch are paid at the level of the national minimum wage.
- The State Social Service defines the list of women who benefit from special protection and every month calculates and performs the payment of contributions, according to the provisions of law no. 9136, dated 11.9.2003, “On the collection of mandatory social and health insurance contributions in the Republic of Albania”, as amended, and the instruction of the minister responsible for health and social affairs.
- The financial effects, resulting from the implementation of this decision, are borne by the budget of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
- The Ministry of Finance and Economy and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection are charged with the implementation of this decision.
This decision enters into force after publication in the Official Gazette and begins its effects on January 1, 2023.
