The Tax Administration is investigating whether employees of its structures are also involved

The Tax Administration informs all Taxpayers that it has found 2 high-risk phenomena:

  1. Taxpayers, who make changes by lowering the payroll statement, in order to avoid paying social and health insurance contributions for employees;
  2. Taxpayers, who cancel the declared sales invoices, without reflecting these cancellations in the Purchase Books of their customers.

“We inform all taxpayers that these unjustified changes to declarations, mainly the change of the payment list declaration, directly affect not only the Tax Administration, but also the Employee’s Pension and Medical Services, and according to the law it is considered a criminal offense”, the Administration clarifies.  Tax.

The Tax Administration also emphasizes that it is investigating whether employees of its structures are also involved in these phenomena, while bringing to their and every taxpayer’s attention that the aforementioned phenomena will be handled according to the law “On Tax Procedures”.
